Notes About this Lemonade Recipe:
- Fresh lemons vary in acidic content throughout the year since they are a natural product. As a result, it may be necessary to vary the quantity of lemon juice to adjust the tartness to taste.
- This formula is scalable, just use the same proporations for larger batches.
- The small amount of peel oil that finds its way into the lemon juice is a very important part of the flavor of lemonade from fresh-squeezed lemons. Using chilled water and freshly extracted lemon juice helps to preserve this important flavor component and maintain the best aromatics.
- Premium lemonade is generally made with at least 15% lemon juice. If a less sweet flavor is desired, reduce the sugar content. If a more tart flavor is desired, add lemon juice. Adding water to adjust flavor tends towards a lower-quality tasting product.
